Down as promised for 9:30pm, very heavy black cloud cover to start, but it cleared to fully clear by 11:00pm. The Milky Way was easily seen right across the sky. On my own again, worked on M71, M17 and NGC7293. M71 was reasonably high but the others were in the murk, and skirting the treetops.
The clouds began to gradually congregate overhead from 1:30am and were back in possession of the whole sky by 2:30am, not too bad as it would be getting light again soon after that. Rabbits everywhere on the roads and a couple of hedgehogs too, to add variety, rarely seen these days.
